Be what you can be

1 min read

If you can (achieve levels of greatness and so forth), must you?

According to Abraham Maslow, yes.

Why?

Every time that you take a step back into your comfort zone, it becomes harder to step forward into your potential.

And the wider this gap becomes, the more voluminous all the regrets and frustrations and might-have-beens in your life also become.

Perhaps the initial steps back will not have much impact.

But if you're not careful, over time the steps back will increase, the gap will become bigger, the regret will be less bearable and your energy will be lower.

Don't let that happen.

Keep saying yes and stretching yourself.

Ask for support.

Be all that you can be.

What we can, we must be.

If you deliberately plan on being less than what you are capable of being then I warn you, you will be very unhappy for the rest of your life.

~ Abraham Maslow
