Routine feels like home.
For better or for worse, it reminds yourself of who you are and reinforces it.
Ideally, that's a positive.
Routine brings us comfort because it's familiar, and familiarity breeds security.
Probably why the vast majority of child sexual abuse is carried out by family members.
My point being, that just because something is familiar, does not mean that it's right or healthy.
Including one's daily routine.
So make sure to do a proper assessment of whether or not your routine is composed of things that are healthy, or at least, conducive to helping you be or become the person you want to be.
Make sure your routine is worthy of being a comfort blanket.
