Thirst

1 min read

What do you thirst for?

What do you have a strong desire or craving for?

For me it's growing, learning, and getting to my next level.

Fulfilling my potential - which is of course, impossible.

But we can at least try to get as close as we can.

My favourite parable is the parable of the talents. (Matthew 25: 14-30)

But essentially it's this:

For to everyone who has will more be given, and he will have an abundance. But from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away.

Count your blessings, and use them to make the most of what you have.

Don't complain about what you don't have.

Do you have clean water to drink? Food to eat? Access to healthcare? Education? Family? Friends? Civil liberties?

I see so many opportunities in my life right now and it might not always be this way.

So I've got to make the most of it while I can.

And help other people in less fortunate positions.

Some people are happy to live their lives in a self-indulgent bubble, and I guess that's fine - it's none of my business and there's no judgment here.

Whatever quenches your thirst.
